A 26 year-old woman presents to your office complaining of discharge from both her nipples. Over the last year her menstrual periods had become irregular and for the last 4 months, she has not had a period at all. Her interest in sex has decreased. She constantly worries about being pregnant. She does desire to have children in the future, but not now. Review of systems is remarkable for headaches and visual disturbances. Some of her family members and relatives had inherited endocrinologic disorders. Her father died of cardiovascular disease and mother of unknown cancer. The laboratory tests reveal increased prolactin level and decreased LH and FSH levels. MRI of the brain showed a 4 cm pituitary mass.
